Troy Musson has been hired by The Flintco Cos. Inc. as its director of business development for Flintco’s Memphis and Springdale, Ark., offices.
Musson was previously the director of operations at Steiger Development Co., where he managed general operations including planning and budgeting. He is a graduate of Texas A&M University, where he received his bachelor’s of science degree in the Department of Construction Science.
Glankler Brown PLLC has named the 2009 firm practice group chairs. Oscar C. Carr III will continue as the chair of the firm’s Litigation Practice Group, Chief Manager George Nassar Jr., will chair the Business Practice Group and Hunter Humphreys will remain the chair of the Real Estate Practice Group.
Beth Halbach of Keller Williams Realty has received the Life Time Achievement Award from the Multi Million Dollar Club in the Memphis Association of Realtors.
Charlotte A. Henderson of Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC has been awarded the Certified in Financial Forensics credential by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants. The credential is granted to qualified certified public accountants with considerable professional experience in financial forensics.
CB Richard Ellis has promoted Anna Marotti to associate and Whitney Reese has been named director of marketing and research. Marotti will be involved with commercial office leasing. Reese will be responsible for all internal and external marketing materials.
Leo M. Bearman Jr. and Lewis R. Donelson III of Baker, Donelson, Bearman, Caldwell & Berkowitz PC have been recognized as “Lawyers of the Year” by The Best Lawyers in America 2009.
Chris Price has joined Landers Ford Lincoln Mercury as marketing manager. Price is the former owner of Price Ford in Millington. Price purchased Northpoint Ford in Millington in 2001 and increased sales to more than $35 million in 2008. Price Ford was sold in February to Homer Skelton. Price has been in the automotive industry since 1994 and is a past chair of the Millington Chamber of Commerce.
U.S. Marine Gunnery Sergeant Curtis Osburn has been named the national Instructor of the Year in a competition sponsored by the United Services Automobile Association. Osburn has been at the University of Memphis since 2007 and is the only enlisted man with the NROTC cadre. He teaches drill and other military-related topics for future Navy and Marine officers. He has served two tours of duty in Iraq.
The Greater Memphis office of the American Cancer Society has named its 2009 officers. They are Mary Pennington, president; James McDonald, vice president; Gus Lauer, recorder; and Mike Worsham, recorder. The newest board members are Dr. Johnetta Blakely, Brian Elder, Robert Hanusovsky and Dr. C. Michael Jones. Sean Henneberger has been promoted to executive director of the American Cancer Society’s Greater Memphis office. Henneberger began his career with the American Cancer Society in 2005 as corporate development representative. In 2007, he advanced into the role of associate executive director.
Seth Agranov has joined the Medical Education and Research Institute as an information technology coordinator. Agranov has experience in freelance Web design and development jobs for several local area businesses and has served as manager of infrastructure and in Realtor support services for the Memphis Area Association of Realtors. He began his career as the technology facilitator at Gordon Elementary School.
Jimmie Tapley and husband Bob Tapley of Crye-Leike, Realtors have been named to the third annual Top 200 Real Estate Professionals in the country. Their ranking, compiled by REAL Trends Inc., places the Tapleys at No. 26 on the Top 200 List among team transactions. For teams to qualify for the award, they must generate a minimum of $50 million in sales and 125 transactions. The Tapleys closed approximately 360 transactions.
Patricia A. Woods has opened a new office at 1038 Oakhaven Road in East Memphis. A member of the Memphis Bar Association and the Tennessee Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers, Woods focuses her practice on all facets of both domestic and criminal representation.
