Leading Real Estate Companies of the World Recognizes Marx & Bensdorf’s Cherny

Eileen Cherny, relocation director for Marx & Bensdorf, has received the Leading Real Estate Companies of the World President’s Service Recognition Award. The award acknowledges committee and board involvement, presentations at network conferences and service in various capacities.

Cherny has been in her current position at Marx & Bensdorf since 2000. She has a broker’s license and is also a Certified Relocation Professional (CRP) and Global Mobility Specialist (GMS).

Pickering Inc. has hired several new employees to its Memphis office. Larry J. Chism has joined the firm as senior architect; William T. Gallagher has been hired as project architect; and Betty Ray Rudolph has joined the company as mechanical engineer intern.

Angie Kelley has joined Crye-Leike Realtors’ Millington/Atoka branch. Kelley is a licensed affiliate broker in Tennessee. She is an Accredited Buyer Representative (ABR) and an Internet Realtor Professional e-Pro. Kelley is a member of the Memphis Association of Realtors and its Multi-Million Dollar Club. She also belongs to the Tennessee and National Associations of Realtors.

Gideon Scoggin has been promoted to vice president of commercial lending at BankTennessee. Scoggin joined the company in 2002 as a credit analyst.

Verified Person Inc., a provider of background screening services, has hired John Clark as vice president of sales. Previously, Clark spent six years as vice president of sales and marketing at Memphis-based Amedius LLC, a software application and enterprise solution company.

Ronnie Katz, president of Finance for Life, has been selected as a member of the Million Dollar Round Table, an independent association of financial professionals. Katz spent more than 20 years as a partner in the accounting firm Katz & Co. before founding Finance for Life.

He is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants, the Tennessee Society of Certified Public Accountants, the Memphis Estate Planning Council and the National Ethics Bureau.

Cannon Wright Blount has hired three new employees to its software division. Richard Brown has been hired as project manager. Brown has managed cross-functional project teams and supply chain models for various companies. Linda Zumwalt has been hired as a software consultant. She has 10 years of QuickBooks experience, and is a Certified QuickBooks ProAdviser. David Wilcox has been hired as an information technology administrator. Wilcox is a Microsoft certified professional, and is certified by the CompTIA network.

St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital has hired Dr. Tim Folse as the After Completion of Therapy (ACT) Clinic director. The ACT Clinic monitors cancer patients who are no longer under active treatment. In addition to this position, Folse is the St. Jude Life Clinic director, which is the party of a comprehensive follow-up study of adults who were treated at the hospital as children.

Scott Tilton and Jim Wilkinson have joined Luminetx Corp. Tilton is vice president of strategic accounts. He has more than 20 years of experience in the medical device industry. Wilkinson joined the company as downstream marketing manager. He has more than 15 years of experience in medical device marketing.

Stacy Tislow, who serves as the Verizon Wireless District manager in West Tennessee, has earned membership into Verizon Wireless’ President’s Cabinet, an honor she earned for ranking in the top 1 percent nationally in sales during 2007. Tislow leads a retail sales team of more than 100 employees and 14 full-service retail stores in the region.

Tonna Bruce has joined St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital’s Academic Programs office as its new administrative director. Previously, Bruce was a dean at Christian Brothers University.
