Herrington Named Field Director at Shoemaker Financial
Jason Herrington, a financial adviser at Shoemaker Financial, has been named a field director for the firm. He will have the responsibility of advising and mentoring new advisers during their two-year training period.
Laura Miller has been named director of business development for Le Bonheur Children's Medical Center. She will assume the responsibility of managing the hospital's business development and service line management.
Bartlett Mayor A. Keith McDonald has been reappointed chair of the First Tier Suburbs Council of the National League of Cities for 2008. The First Tier Suburbs Council works to address the challenges faced by municipalities outside of central cities and inside the ring of developing suburbs and rural areas.
Ellen Fisher has been hired as an executive assistant to the president of the FAA Federal Credit Union. Fisher has more than 16 years of financial industry experience and six years of experience with credit unions. She has earned the member service certificate through the Staff Training and Recognition program sponsored by the Credit Union National Association and the Tennessee Credit Union League.
Memphis advertising agency carpenter | sullivan | sossaman recently won a Gold Adrian Award for @embassy, a weekly online newsletter the agency produces for the international hotel brand Embassy Suites. The company also won a Bronze Adrian for a promotional campaign for Embassy Suites and a Silver Adrian for the "Memphis Celebrates 50 Years of Soul" press kit designed for the Memphis Convention & Visitors Bureau.
Melissa McCune has joined the National College of Business and Technology as a librarian. McCune will manage and develop the library's resources.
Jennifer Brown has joined Signature Advertising & Marketing Solutions as a print production specialist. Brown has 12 years of experience in pre-press. Previously, she worked at Hot Graphics and Printing. She holds an associate's degree in graphic art technology from State Technical Institute (now known as Southwest Tennessee Community College).
Several Memphis area Realtors have accepted appointments to the newly formed Realtor Advisory Board of Tennessee Housing Development Agency: Frances Anderson, Crye-Leike Realtors; Rebecca Bell, Lester Hubbard Realtors; Monica Mauricio, Dan Stewart Realtors; William Mitchell, Crye-Leike Realtors; and Bob Turner, Southern Properties.
Amy Chapman, Larry Ohrberg and Tim Kemp of Weichert, Realtors-Chapman & Associates have each been awarded the Accredited Buyer Representation designation by the Real Estate Buyer's Agent Council Inc. of the National Association of Realtors.
Clay Banks has been named director of economic development for the Bartlett Area Chamber of Commerce. Banks holds a degree in marketing and business from the University of Tennessee. Previously, he worked for Journal Communications as a project manager. He has six years of experience in sales and marketing.
Upon completing internships with Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC, Charlene Yeung joined the firm's tax staff and Nathan Stevens joined the firm's audit staff.
The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, Memphis District, has been named a 2007 Achievement Award winner in the annual Excellence in Tennessee recognition program, which is administered by the Tennessee Center for Performance Excellence. The district is a public engineering organization that provides flood protection, navigation, emergency operations and other civil works.
Shoemaker Financial has promoted Candida Fuller to manager of sales processing and administrative services, and Rodney Smithers to manager of investment operations and sales support. Smithers also will serve on the investment committee.
Joseph Callicutt and Nick Chimenti have joined the auditing staff of Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC. Callicutt holds a bachelor's degree in accounting from the University of Mississippi, and previously worked for First Tennessee Bank. Chimenti holds a bachelor's degree in business administration in accounting from Christian Brothers University, and previously worked for Grisham, Wildman & Work PLC.
