NASHVILLE (AP) - State lawmakers want to move next month's sales tax holiday so it won't fall on Easter weekend.

The Senate Finance Committee on Tuesday unanimously advanced the rescheduled sales tax holiday to a full floor vote.

If approved by both chambers of the General Assembly and signed by the governor, the new dates for the sale tax holiday would be April 25 to April 27. It is currently scheduled for March 21 to March 23.

The sales tax break applies to clothing, school supplies and computers.
