The Scarlet Lawrence Akins Foundation will produce the Second Annual Run from the Sun 5K today at 7 p.m. along Ridge Lake Boulevard. The run benefits melanoma research and education. For more information, call Cheryl Moore at 361-8163.

The C.H. Nash Museum at Chucalissa will display an exhibit of photographs by students participating in the Leaders Implementing Foresight Everyday program today through Sept. 3 at Chucalissa, 1785 Indian Village Drive. The opening reception will be held today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Fourteen photographs taken in neighborhood settings with captions asking provocative questions will be on display. The Memphis Humane Society will hold the Paw Prints Auction Gala Saturday from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Temple Israel, 1376 Massey Road.
