Medtronic Operations Chief DeMane Steps Down

MINNEAPOLIS (AP) - Medtronic Inc. Chief Operating Officer Michael DeMane resigned has resigned effective Wednesday, the medical devices maker said Tuesday.

Medtronic said DeMane "decided to leave to pursue other opportunities."

The move means that Medtronic's global business unit will report to Chief Executive Bill Hawkins. The company did not say whether it would seek to replace DeMane.

Medtronic’s spinal and biologics business is headquartered in Memphis.
