Pitts Receives Compliance Expert Certification

Dallas Pitts, compliance officer at FAA Federal Credit Union, has received Cuna's Credit Union Compliance Expert certification.

The certification covers all federal regulations for credit unions, as well as giving an overview of state regulations.
Pitts has worked for FAA FCU for more than 11 years, holding positions as a teller, member services representative and compliance officer.

The Beale Street Flippers will receive a Brass Note on the Beale Street Walk of Fame this week. The Beale Street Flippers attained the 2007 Guinness Book of World Records for "Unassisted Jump Over the Most People."

Bill Bright, Byron B. Winsett III, Abby Wallace, Ann Schiller, Melissa Boyd, Katherine Ratton and Miranda Baker all have been appointed by the Shelby County district attorney general as assistant district attorneys.

Glankler Brown PLLC has hired four new associates: Oscar C. Carr IV, who practices in the area of civil litigation; Andre B. Mathis, who practices in the areas of civil and criminal litigation; Ward D. Robinson, who practices in civil litigation; and Laurie M. Thornton, who practices in the areas of residential and commercial real estate.

Peter Martin, a Realtor at Weichert, Realtors-Chapman & Associates LLC, has earned the Graduate Realtor
Institute designation. Martin has been an agent for Weichert since June 2006.

Robert Green has joined Trezevant Manor as executive chef. Green has 32 years of experience in the culinary field. Previously, he was the executive chef for residential dining at the University of Southern California.


Candi Owens has been promoted to assistant branch manager at FAA Federal Credit Union's Centennial branch. Owens has been with the credit union for five years, serving as a teller and a member services representative.

Kay Emanus has been promoted to branch manager at FAA Federal Credit Union's Wolfchase and Centennial locations. Emanus has been with FAA FCU for 26 years, holding positions as a teller supervisor, marketing officer, member service supervisor and branch manager.

Harrah's Entertainment Mid-South Region Communications Department has received platinum and gold MarCom and Hermes Creative Awards for internal and external communications campaigns. Both awards are judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals.

Methodist Le Bonheur Healthcare has received the 2007 Corporate Neighbor of the Year Award from Volunteer Memphis' Corporate Volunteer Council. The award is given to a company whose corporate policies and record of volunteer service exemplify a commitment to bettering the community.
