Crone Named Fellow of Memphis Bar Foundation

Alan Crone, attorney and co-founder of Crone & Mason PLC, has been named a fellow of the Memphis Bar Foundation. The appointment was made at the annual joint meeting of the Memphis Bar Association and its charitable arm, the Memphis Bar Foundation, Sept. 11. Donna Corlew has joined Looney Ricks Kiss Architects as marketing director. She also is the president-elect of the Society for Marketing Professional Services' national board of directors. She received the designation of certified professional services marketer through SMPS in 1993 and in 2004 was elevated to the status of fellow.

Ron Goldner has joined Waddell & Reed Inc. as a financial adviser in the Memphis office. Before joining Waddell & Reed, Goldner was president of The Goldner Agency Inc., a Memphis-based, full-service advertising agency. He was there for eight years.

Eyewitness News Everywhere news director James "Jim" Turpin has been named director of news and content for Clear Channel Television. Turpin has been news director of Eyewitness News Everywhere (WPTY-TV ABC-24/WLMT-TV CW-30) since May 2002. Turpin also serves as president of the Mid-South Pro chapter of the Society of Professional Journalists.

Amy Albert, Mary Johnston and Mac Ray have joined Reynolds, Bone & Griesbeck PLC's accounting and auditing staff. Julia Eason has joined the company's client accounting services area.

Kevin Moyes has been appointed division president of The Flintco Companies Inc. He also will continue to oversee management of Flintco's Memphis office. Moyes joined the company in 1987 after he graduated from Oklahoma State University in Stillwater, Okla., where he earned a bachelor's degree in construction management.

Allen Courson has joined Evolve Mortgage as a mortgage loan originator.

Lisa Pratt and Amy Simpson have received the 2006 employee excellence awards from Chandler Ehrlich advertising and marketing agency. Pratt, client services account executive, received the agency's Combustion Award for her commitment to clients, her enthusiasm for work and for her constant contribution to the industry as a whole. Simpson, public relations manager, received the Plus One Award for her willingness to go the extra mile.

Shirley Thorn has joined Methodist University Hospital as administrative director of critical care. She has more than 33 years of nursing experience. She previously worked at Children's Hospital Central California in Madera, Calif., where she headed the regional trauma program.

Dan Weddle has been promoted to president of ProTech Systems Group Inc. Weddle previously was the vice president and general manager of the Memphis-based company.

Interior designer Leslie Shankman-Cohn has been awarded the Kenneth C. Kimbrough Award of Excellence by the Tennessee chapter of the American Society of Interior Designers (ASID). She also has been inducted into the Past Presidents Club. Cohn is a registered interior designer and is a professional member of ASID.

Tim Stubbs, owner and principal broker of Stubbs Commercial REALTORS LLC, is one of three people to be honored as 2006 Outstanding Alumni by the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS) at the University of Memphis. Michael Demster, vice president of Memphis BioWorks Development Council for the Memphis Regional Chamber, and Barbara Ingram, retired Westwood Elementary School educator, also will be honored tomorrow at the Racquet Club of Memphis, 5111 Sanderlin Ave.

Cherilyn Stewart has been named branch director of Memphis Area Teachers' Credit Union (MATCU) Southaven branch.

David Maddox and Kenny Patrick have been promoted to senior art director positions at carpenter/sullivan/sossaman.

Terri Harris has been promoted to vice president of account services for Red Deluxe Brand Development. Harris joined the firm in 2004 as a brand strategist. She previously worked in marketing and communications at Union Planters Bank, National Association.

The following people have joined Rhea & Ivy PLC: Whitney Briggs, tax manager; Katherine Wright, level I tax member; Jeree Wheat, level I audit member; A.J. Schell, level I audit member; and Courtney Tucker, level I audit member. Ali Sinkular has been promoted to audit member. Matthew Carr has been promoted to senior audit member. Brian Cohn and Heath Jennings were promoted to level II audit members.
