TruckPro Finances Airport-Area Property
TruckPro Inc. has financed 21.23 acres at 4460 Holmes Road in Airport Industrial Park South through Merrilll Lynch Capital for $2.9 million. The property includes a 449,600-square-foot warehouse constructed in 1998. The three-unit building, which is leased to TruckPro, Darby Drugs and Excell, is part of the city-county Industrial Development Board's payment-in-lieu-of-taxes program.
Law Enrollment Down, NYT Report Shows
For the first time since the 1997-1998 admission cycle, the number of law school applicants declined by almost 5 percent in 2005 and is already down 9.5 percent this year across the nation, The New York Times reported this week. Rising undergraduate debt has been cited as a factor.
Buckeye Sets Sights On Several New Officers
Memphis-based Buckeye Technologies Inc. has elected Steven G. Dean as vice president and controller, Terrence M. Reed as vice president of human resources, Phillip C. Reese as vice president of the absorbent fibers division and Darrell D. Adams as vice president of the specialty fibers division with a focus on North America and Asia. Dr. Horst Gottsche-Kuhn will become vice president of the specialty fibers division with a focus on Europe and South America.
Coors Profits Get Big Chill
Molson Coors Brewing Co. has reported lower fourth quarter and 2005 yearly consolidated net sales, sales volume and income from continuing operations. The company reported net sales of $1.38 billion and sales volume of 10.3 million barrels from operations in the United States, Canada and Europe in the fourth quarter. Coors' Memphis facility is on East Raines Road.
