Quince area could become YMCA's corporate headquarters

Officials at YMCA of Memphis and the Mid-South are looking to move the 150-year-old organization's metropolitan offices back to Memphis.

After 30 Years in Business, Front Street Deli Still Going Strong

Lee Busby, owner and lone employee of Front Street Deli at 77 S. Front, says about 75 percent of his business is regular customers, and it's easy to see why people keep coming back to the 30-year-old establishment.

Reynolds Named Head Baseball Coach at STCC

Alan "Bo" Reynolds has been named the new head baseball coach at Southwest Tennessee Community College. He previously worked at Olive Branch High School, where he was head baseball coach in 2005-2006 after serving as assistant coach from 2003 to 2005. He also coached at Rhodes College from 1990 to 2003, where he was both an assistant coach and head coach and the University of Memphis from 1987 to 1990. There, he was an assistant under head coach Bobby Kilpatrick.

EVENTS

The Center City Commission presents P-Smoov, Lex G., Tom Skeemask & The Memphis Movement as part of the second annual Court Square Concert Series today from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Court Square in Downtown Memphis. The concert series will feature local bands every Wednesday through Oct. 25 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Other featured performers this year include the The Billy Gibson Band and The Memphis Allstars.
