The opening reception is 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. June 2. The show is 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. June 3 and 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. June 4. A gallery show of ceramic art will be set up in the hall of the civic center during June. Members of the Memphis Potters Guild will display exhibition pieces for sale. The show features works in porcelain, stoneware and earthenware, encompassing a broad spectrum of ceramic objects, including sculptural vessels, jewelry, utilitarian pottery and one-of-a-kind pieces. Registration for summer classes at State Technical Institute continue through May 29 at the colleges main campus, 5983 Macon Cove. State Tech offers a 10-week term and two five-week terms with classes meeting at a variety of locations. The 10-week terms ends August 8. The 13th annual Celebration Luncheon for Girls Inc. of Memphis begins at 11:45 a.m. Thursday at the Adams Mark Hotel, 939 Ridge Lake Blvd. Cecelia Wilson Sawyer of Le Bonheur Health Care, Beverly C. Robertson of the National Civil Rights Museum and Mary Jo Miller of Allison, Katz, Mallory and Miller, will be honored at the luncheon. Tickets are $75 and can be purchased by calling 523-0217, ext. 201. The Methodist Hospital School of Practical Nursing will admit a class to its one-year practical nursing program this August.
