Kenneth P Kenneth P. Pehanick has been promoted to chief operating officer of Continental Traffic Services Inc. Pehanick formerly was vice president of sales. He is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University. Dorchelle Terrell Spence has been named director of community relations at Baptist Memorial Health Care Corp. Spence formerly was communications specialist at First Tennessee Bank. She is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Trammell Crow Co. has announced several new employees. John Mercer has joined Trammell Crow as director in the brokerage services group. Mercer spent the past 12 years with Wilkinson & Snowden Inc., where he was made a partner in 1993. He is a graduate of Vanderbilt University. Chris Murphree has joined Trammell Crow Co. as construction manager. Murphree formerly was senior project engineer with Kajima Construction Services Inc. He is a graduate of the University of Memphis. Mary Lou Harrison has joined Trammell Crow as marketing associate. She is a graduate of Syracuse University. Marlene L. Cota has been named marketing and media relations director for Universal Cheerleaders Association. She previously was director of marketing for Claires Accessories Inc. of Chicago and Just Nikke:), a catalog publication based in New York. She is a graduate of the University of Chicago. Cory Dugan has been named publications editor at Christian Brothers University. Dugan formerly was art director at the Memphis Flyer. AC Wharton, chief public defender with the Shelby County Public Defenders Office, has been named chairman of the board of Methodist Healthcare. Bill Gibbons, district attorney general, was elected to the executive committee of the Tennessee District Attorneys General Conference. Dr. Andrea L. Miller has been named interim vice president for academic and student affairs at Shelby State Community College. Miller has served as vice president for academic affairs/dean of faculty at LeMoyne-Owen College since 1992. Jaineth Faye Grimes, assistant professor in the division of nursing at Baptist Memorial College of Health Sciences, has been appointed to the Committee on Education of the Tennessee Nurses Association. David M. Yawn, senior communications specialist/editor for Federal Express, received a 1998 Award for Publication Excellence in the new newsletters category from Communications Concepts. Gary Wilkinson has joined the Leo Bearman Sr. American Inn of Court as a barrister member. Wilkinson is a partner in the law firm of Stewart, Wilkinson & Wilson, assistant prosecuting attorney for the city of Germantown and staff mediator/arbitrator for Resolute Systems Inc.
