Gary L Gary L. Osing has joined the Waring Cox law firm as chief operating officer. He formerly was director of administration for the law firm of Hand Arendall LLC in Mobile, Ala. He is a graduate of the University of South Alabama and Springfield College. Gary Loveman has joined Harrahs Entertainment Inc. in the newly created position of executive vice president and chief operating officer. Loveman currently is associate professor of business administration at the Harvard University Graduate School of Business Administration. He has worked with Harrahs as a consultant over the past five years. Capt. Michael J. Donohoe, U.S. Coast Guard, retired, has joined Pickering Environmental Consultants Inc. as division director. Donohoe served as the commanding officer of the Coast Guard Marine Safety Office in Memphis from 1987 to 1991 and has since directed the U.S. Coast Guards Marine Environmental Protection program. Donna Morley has joined Chandler, Ehrlich & Co. as production manager. She formerly worked as a graphic consultant and production supervisor for DCR Graphics. E. Jay Nichols Jr. has been promoted to director of special projects at Continental Traffic Services Inc. He formerly was director of AS/400 operations with the company. Jackson D. Vaughan has been promoted to director of AS/400 operations at Continental Traffic Services. Vaughan formerly was an AS/400 programmer for the company. Loys A. "Trey" Jordan has joined the McDonald Kuhn law firm as an associate. He formerly was associated with the firm of Adair Schuerman & White. He is a graduate of the University of Tennessee and the University of Memphis. Bruce Young, president of Re/Max Commercial and Industrial, has been appointed a director of the Tennessee Association of Realtors Commercial Investment Division. Sheryl H. Lipman of Burch, Porter & Johnson PLLC has been appointed by Mayor Willie Herenton to the Civilian Law Enforcement Review Board. Pickering Inc. has announced several new employees and a promotion. Lee Folkerts has joined Pickerings accounting department in accounts payable. She has more than 27 years of accounting experience and formerly worked for Seessels Holdings Inc. Sandra L. Hoots has joined the companys accounting department in accounts receivable. She has nine years experience and formerly worked for NES MidSouth Inc. Melvin J. Collier has joined Pickering as an civil engineer intern. He formerly worked for Jackson Person and Associates and is a graduate of Mississippi State University. Margaret Blackmon has been promoted to accounting manager at Pickering. She has been employed by the company for 20 years. Larry E. Potter, a judge in Shelby Countys Environmental Court, has been appointed to the Clean Tennessee Advisory Council. Ralph D. Anderson has joined the investigative consulting firm of Wilson & Turner Inc. He formerly was the assistant commander of the Memphis Police Departments fraud and document bureau. Grand Casino Tunica has announced several appointments. Lon Jerome II has been named graphic designer. He formerly was graphic designer/illustrator for Grand Casino Gulfport. He is a graduate of Moorhead State University. Greg Joslin has been named training manager for supervisory and managerial development. Bill Hughes has been named director of golf. He previously was the general manager/director of golf at the Tournament Players Club at Southwind. Penny Worley of Crye-Leike Inc. Realtors has been presented a National Sales Award from Realty Alliance, an association of residential real estate brokers. Kim Cherry, media relations manager with First Tennessee, has been accredited by the Universal Accreditation Program of the Public Relations Society of America. Neal Cordell, a personal trainer and fitness director for MedShares, has been appointed by the Tennessee Governors Council on Health and Fitness to represent the state at the National Association of Governors Councils on Physical Fitness and Sports meeting. Ward Archer Jr. has been elected chair of Goals for Memphis for 1998.
