Seven attorneys at Glankler Brown PLLC have been named to the Best Lawyers in America list Seven attorneys at Glankler Brown PLLC have been named to the Best Lawyers in America list. They are Frank J. Glankler Jr. for business litigation, criminal defense and personal injury litigation; R. Grattan Brown Jr. for banking and corporate law; Lee J. Chase III for personal injury litigation; J.N. Raines for business litigation; Oscar C. Carr III for environmental law; Robert A. Udelsohn for bankruptcy law; and David Blaylock for bankruptcy law. Michael P. Coury has been named an owner in the Waring Cox law firm. Coury practices in the areas of commercial litigation and bankruptcy law, with a concentration on bankruptcy and business reorganization, creditors rights, business litigation and transportation litigation. Coury has been with the firm since January 1996. He received a bachelors degree from Rhodes College and a law degree from Vanderbilt University. On March 5, 1997, the Board of Professional Responsibility publicly censured attorney Warner Hodges III. The board found that Hodges represented multiple clients in a matter in which they had differing interests. Although there was no evidence that Hodges acted out of avarice or self-interest, when disputes arose among the clients, he continued to represent the clients without protecting their individual interest and did not advise the parties that they needed to retain separate counsel in order to protect their interests. The Tennessee Association of Legal Services has just published the ninth edition of its "Legal Services Guide to Medicare and Insurance." The 60-page guide answers 164 consumer questions ranging from basic questions about Medicare to more complex issues involving nursing home care, home health care and coverage of medical equipment. New sections explain Medicare Health Maintenance Organizations and Medicare Select policies. The guide is funded by a grant from the Health Care Financing Administration and the Tennessee Commission on Aging.
