The Memphis Rotary Club will meet Friday at noon at the Chickasaw Country Club, 3395 Galloway Ave. Dr. Jan Young, executive director of the Assisi Foundation, will be the featured speaker. Cost is $25 for guests. Reservations are not needed.
The Memphis Zoo will host “Unplugged” Friday from 6:30 p.m. to 10 p.m. at the Memphis Zoo, 2000 Prentiss Place. The outdoor party supports the Memphis Zoo operations. Donations can be made at the door for The Audubon Nature’s Institute work with wildlife in the Gulf Coast. The Soul Shockers will perform. Cost is $10 for members and $12 for nonmembers. The Memphis Redbirds will host Arc Night Friday at 7 p.m. at AutoZone Park. The Redbirds will play the Nashville Sounds. Tickets are $10 and $5 from each ticket sale will go to The Arc of the Mid-South. For tickets, call 327-2473.
