CORRECTION: In Tuesday’s story about a proposal to tax businesses for hotel breakfasts offered free to customers, The Associated Press erroneously reported that the plan would raise $10 million annually. The proposal would raise $1 million to $2 million annually, not $10 million, which is the total revenue from a broader tax bill containing the breakfast provision. The Daily News regrets the error.
