Dr. Buzz Aldrin will discuss and sign his book “Magnificent Desolation” today from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Davis-Kidd Booksellers, 387 Perkins Road Extended. For more information, call 683-9801.

Mirimichi Golf Course will host “Sunset on the Patio – Fiesta Night” today from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Mirimichi, 6195 Woodstock Cuba Road. Cost is $14 for adults and $10 for children. Live music will be provided by Lance Strode. For more information, visit www.mirimichi.com.

The South Main Art Trolley Tour will be held today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the South Main Historic Arts District. Galleries, stores and restaurants in the district will be open offering specials, showings and more. The South Main Association will be grilling in the parking lot next to Bluff City Coffee. Food and beer are complimentary for members.

A Bridge of Hope Ministries will hold its Building Bridges Conference Saturday from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Greater Imani Church, 3034 Austin Peay Highway. The conference will include workshops on drug awareness, crime prevention, work force development and more. For more information, call 487-6577.

The National Kidney Foundation of West Tennessee Golf Classic will hold a pre-registration party Sunday from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Parmasters, 888 S. White Station Road. There will be food, drinks and a silent auction. The tournament will be Monday at 8:30 a.m. at TPC Southwind. Cost is $250 per player and the first- and second-place winners will advance to a national championship at Pebble Beach in California in January. For more information, call 683-6185.
