The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will present a workshop titled “All About the New 990” today from 8:30 a.m. to noon at the Alliance office, 5100 Poplar Ave., Suite 502. A question-and-answer Brown Bag Session titled “Don’t Dread the Audit” will follow at 12:30 p.m. Lee Hood, manager at Whitehorn Tankersley & Co. PLLC, will lead the workshop. The Center for Southern Folklore will host a free performance by Ladyfingers today at noon at the center, 123 S. Main St. The performance is part of the center’s Brown Bag Lunch Series. For more information, call 525-3655.

The New Olive Baptist Church will host Memphis Youth Manifesto, a town hall meeting, today at 6 p.m. at the church, 3084 Southern Ave. Elected officials will be on hand to listen as citizens speak about their concerns. Refreshments will be served. For more information, call 454-7777.

The South Main Art Trolley Tour will be today from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the South Main Historic Arts District. The shops and galleries of the district will be open, offering shows, exhibits and specials. There will be complimentary food and beer in the parking lot next to Bluff City Coffee for South Main Association members. Nonmembers are encouraged to join.

Theatre Memphis will hold its Theatre Memphis Gala today at 6 p.m. at the theater, 630 Perkins Road Extended. There will be live and silent auctions, live entertainment, food, drinks and dancing. The National Multiple Sclerosis Society Mid-South Chapter will host the fundraiser “Polos and Pearls” today from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. at LePavillion, 1052 Brookfield Road. Joe Birch will be the guest host for the evening, which will include food, drinks and live and silent auctions. Guests are asked to contribute $75 per ticket. The Greater Memphis Chamber will hold a small business council breakfast Tuesday from 7:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. at The Racquet Club of Memphis, 5111 Sanderlin Ave. Irv Alpert of Onvia will speak.
