The Alliance for Nonprofit Excellence will present a workshop titled “Writing for Government Grants” Tuesday from 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Alliance office, 5100 Poplar Ave., Suite 502. Cathy Marcinko will lead the workshop. Cost is $99 for members, $150 for nonmembers and $89 for those in the Program for Nonprofit Excellence. Reservations are due today. The Fourth Annual Ride for Agape will be Saturday at 9 a.m. at the Bartlett Woods Church of Christ, 7800 Old Brownsville Road. Cost is $20 for a single rider and $35 for a double. The New Dutch Treat Luncheon will be Saturday from noon to 2 p.m. at Jason’s Deli, 3473 Poplar Ave., Suite 102. Memphis City Council member William C. Boyd will speak.

Midtown Acupuncture & Natural Apothecary will host a meet and greet for its new massage therapist, Tammy Jo O’Neal, Saturday from noon to 4 p.m. at its clinic, 917 S. The Tennessee Beta Unit of Parliamentarians will hold its monthly meeting Monday at 6 p.m. at the Poplar-White Station Branch Library, 5094 Poplar Ave. Anyone interested in expanding their knowledge of parliamentary law and “Robert’s Rules of Order” is invited to attend. The Salvation Army’s Annual Dinner will be Monday at 7 p.m. at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Willard Scott, NBC’s “The Today Show” centenarian birthday announcer, will be the keynote speaker.
