The League of Women Voters of Memphis & Shelby County will hold a public meeting Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 8 p.m. at the University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law, 3715 Central Ave., Room 310. Attorney Charlotte Knight Griffin will speak about the $1.22 million fine and $10 million clean up levied by the Environmental Protection Agency against Memphis Light, Gas and Water Division.
The Germantown Athletic Club will host an open house and fitness fair Jan. 22 from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. at the club, 1801 Exeter Road. The open house will feature nutritional counseling, spinal scans and cooking demonstrations along with information booths from businesses on health-related matters.
