The Children’s Museum of Memphis will host “CMOM Family Nights” beginning Thursday and will be held every Thursday night in July at CMOM, 2525 Central Ave. Concessions will be available and a family movie will be shown in the Malco 4 Kids at 6:15 p.m. The museum will remain open until 8 p.m. and parents are encouraged to bring their children after work.
The Rotary Club of Memphis East will host the fifth annual Bobby Dunavant Public Servant Awards luncheon July 9 at 11:45 a.m. in the Grand Ballroom of The Peabody hotel, 149 Union Ave. Mississippi Gov. Haley Barbour will be the keynote speaker.
The awards recognize distinguished work by public servants of the citizens of Memphis and Shelby County. Two public servants will be honored – one elected official and one non-elected public employee. Tickets to the luncheon are $35 per person or $300 for a 10-person table.
