The Memphis Regional Chamber will launch the Memphis International Business Council and hold the premiere of the China Town Hall webcast today from 4:30 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. at the FedEx World Headquarters, Building G, 3670 Hacks Cross Road. The American Red Cross will hold a blood drive today from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Southwest Tennessee Community College, 737 Union Ave.


The city of Germantown will host an Internet Safety Panel for parents, teachers and others who use the Internet, today at 6 p.m. at the Municipal Center, 1930 S. Germantown Road. Panelists will include representatives from the Germantown Police Department, the Commission on Missing and Exploited Children (COMEC) and Shelby County Schools. This event is free and open to the public.


The American Diabetes Association will host "Kiss a Pig Gala and Street Party" to honor community leaders who have contributed to finding a cure for diabetes, today at 6:30 p.m. at The Cadre Building at the corner of Second Avenue and Monroe Street. Cadence Bank will host its second annual Community Shred Day Friday. Individuals and businesses are encouraged to bring up to five boxes of unwanted paper material - including old credit card statements, utility bills, payroll records and tax documents - to be shredded on site from 9 a.m. to noon at Cadence Bank, 591 S.
