The Mid-South Area Business Travel Association (MSA-BTA) will meet today from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, 6245 Poplar Ave. Ollie Mannino, president and owner of Associates Consulting and Training Services, will be the featured speaker. Rhodes College will present Dr. Laura Haas of the Tulane University's Payson Center for International Development today at 4 p.m. in the Orgill Room on the Rhodes campus. The American Institute of Graphic Arts Memphis chapter will host "Helvetica" today at 7:30 p.m. at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art, 1934 Poplar Ave. The feature-length independent film discusses typography, graphic design and global visual culture. The University of Tennessee Health Science Center will host its seventh annual Dean's Symposium Friday from 3 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. at the Benjamin L. Hooks Central Library, 3030 Poplar Ave. Dr. Marion Dugdale, professor of hematology, and Dr. Gabor Tigyi, professor of physiology, will be featured speakers.


The Court Appointed Special Advocates of Memphis will hold "Kickin' it for CASA," a kickball event to raise money for CASA in honor of Child Abuse Prevention Month, Saturday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Willow Park, 4971 Willow Road. The Memphis Bar Association Access to Justice Committee will hold its monthly free Saturday Legal Clinic Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the First Congregational Church, 1000 S.
