The Memphis Symphony Orchestra will host violinist Susie Park for "Park and Mozart," part of the Paul and Linnea Bert Chamber Series, today at 8 p.m. at First Congregational Church, 1000 S. The University of Memphis Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law will hold a free recruitment fair Saturday from 8 a.m. to noon in Room 250 of the law school, 3715 Central Ave. Reservations are recommended and can be made by calling 678-2528. Prospective students will learn the requirements for law school admission, as well as other information.
The Tennessee Department of Human Services Child Care Facilities Corp. will conduct a five-part series of training classes to discuss starting and operating a child care business. The first class will be held Saturday from 9 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. at the Norris Road Church of Christ, 1055 Norris Road. Cost is $25 per person per class, and registrations can be made by calling 615-532-0936.
Team in Training will host the first Wedding Crashers fundraiser to benefit the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society of the Mid-South March 22 from 7 p.m. to 11 p.m. at the Jay Etkin Gallery, 409 S. Main St. Guests will get to eat wedding cake, dance to wedding songs and bid in a silent auction. Tickets are $40 per person if bought before Saturday, and $50 after Saturday. The Memphis Vocal Arts Ensemble presents "L'Chaim! To Life!" with The Three Cantors Sunday at 3 p.m. at the Germantown Performing Arts Centre, 1801 Exeter Road. Tickets are $35 for adults, $25 for seniors and $15 for students and children. This event marks the first collaboration between the Vocal Arts Ensemble and the cantors of three Memphis synagogues: David Julian, John Kaplan and Aryeh Samberg. The Buckman Arts Center at St. Mary's School will present Angelique Kidjo Sunday at 7 p.m. at the center, 60 Perkins Road Extended. Tickets are $28 and can be bought at the Buckman box office.
