The University of Memphis hosts a lecture by Louis Menand, a Pulitzer-prize winning author of "The Metaphysical Club" and professor of English and American literature and language at Harvard, today at 6:30 p.m. in the Panhellenic Building. Menand will speak on "Art and Ideas in the Cold War." A reception begins at 6 p.m. and a book signing will follow.
The Humane Society of Memphis & Shelby County is partnering with Theatre Memphis to present the regional premiere of "Bark! The Musical" today at 7 p.m. at its new facility at 935 Farm Road.
