The Center for Southern Folklore hosts country musician Roy Harper today from noon to 2 p.m. at 123 S. Main St. For more than 50 years, Harper has kept alive the traditions of old-time classic country and folk music with his tales of working on the railroad, hobos, ne'er-do-wells and the joys of small town life. The special lunchtime concert also will feature Ella Kizzie's homemade chicken dinner and peach cobbler. Admission to the concert is free with purchase of the chicken dinner ($10) or $5 for the concert only. For more information, call Tim Curry at 525-3655.

Memphis Light, Gas & Water holds a town hall meeting today from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in the auditorium of the Memphis City Schools Board of Education, 2597 Avery Ave. The town hall meeting will follow the regular MLGW board of commissioners meeting that will be held from 5 p.m. to 6 p.m. MLGW's executive staff and key employees will be available to address customer concerns and questions. The Memphis Brooks Museum of Art presents "Sketches of Frank Gehry" today at 7 p.m. in the Dorothy K. Hohenberg auditorium at 1934 Poplar Ave. The film, a feature-length documentary of architect Frank Gehry, is a sanctioned even of Architecture Month. The Memphis chapter of the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) hosts the professional development seminar "Are You Talkin' to Me" Friday from 9 a.m. to noon at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Sybil McLain, vice president of Dallas-based Spaeth Communications Inc., will lead the seminar.
