As part of the 13th Annual Juneteenth Freedom & Heritage Festival, Nationwide Insurance presents "Jumpin' Jazz & Jubilee" today at noon at April House, 2163 Airways Blvd. The foot soldiers of the Civil Rights Movement will be recognized at the event. Circuit Court Judge D'Army Bailey is the keynote speaker. The Juneteenth festival will be held Friday through Sunday in Douglass Park, 1616 Ash St. Tickets for the luncheon cost $35 per person and $350 for tables of 10. Call 385-1943 for reservations.

Metropolitan Inter-Faith Association (MIFA) and Artists on Central host a reception and silent auction in conjunction with MIFA's "Fill an Empty Plate Campaign" Friday from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. at Artists on Central, 2256 Central Ave. The auction will feature plates designed by artists from all over the Mid-South. Court Appointed Special Advocates (CASA) of Memphis and Shelby County is seeking volunteers to serve the needs of children who have experienced abuse and neglect.
