Mark Matthews Finances

11 Lots for $2.4 Million

Mark Matthews Development LLC has financed nine lots in Ewing Place, one lot in Kings Pointe and one lot in Millers Grove for $2.4 million through Paragon National Bank. Four warranty deeds were filed for the property: deeds for $594,000 and $460,000 with Robert J. and Revonda F. Denley as seller; $382,500 with Hyneman-Bronze LLC as seller; and $444,000 with Columbia Investment Co. as seller.

Halle Park Project

Opens First Phase

The 22,000-square-foot first phase of Collierville office development Halle Park Professional Centre has been completed, and phase two of the project will begin soon, said developer Jon Albright. The completed project will contain about 73,000 square feet of freestanding office structures.

 

Medtronic Begins Prestige

Clinical Trial Enrollment

Medtronic Sofamor Danek has announced the beginning of enrollment in the Prestige LP Cervical Disc clinical trial, Medtronic's third major artificial cervical disc trial designed to explore new technologies for the treatment of degenerative back disease. The trial will help support a Food & Drug Administration application for future commercial sale of the device in the United States.

SunTrust Profits Surge

Bank of America Corp. and SunTrust Banks Inc. have reported a surge in quarterly profits spurred by increased borrowing, cost controls and acquisitions. Bank of America, which last year bought FleetBoston Financial Corp., saw profits rise 75 percent to break a record. SunTrust, which plans to complete most of its integration of National Commerce Financial Corp. this month, saw a 36 percent profit increase.
