The Tennessee Soil Conservation Committee has announced that
Terry Longmire, David Sigler, Keith Wilder, K. Ray Sneed and Mike Leggett have
been nominated to fill the positions of board supervisor members whose terms expire
March 31. An election is set for Tuesday and Wednesday at the following
locations: Baker Community Center and Mid-South Feed & Seed in Millington; SY
Wilson Store in Arlington; Tractor Supply Co. in Collierville; and the Farm
Service Agency and University of Tennessee Agricultural Extension office in
Memphis. Landowners holding legal title to lands within the Shelby County Soil
Conservation District are eligible to vote. For more information, contact the
Shelby County Conservation Board at 454-5265.
The Memphis chapter of the Service Corps of Retired Executives
hosts its annual awards reception and luncheon Wednesday at the Racquet Club of
