Judge George Brown Joins National Arbitration Firm
Judge George Brown to Join Arbitration Firm
Judge George Brown will join Resolute Systems
Inc. as a private mediator and arbitrator in the companys Memphis office upon
his retirement from the bench in February. Brown served as a Circuit Court judge
in the 30th Judicial District for more than 21 years. He also served on the
Tennessee Supreme Court Alternative Dispute Resolution Board for six years.
The following officers were elected to the Better Business
Bureau of the Mid-Souths board of directors: Hal Lansky, chairman; Martha
L. Perine Beard, first vice chairwoman; Pierre
T. Landaiche III, second vice chairman; Reginald
Peyton, secretary; and Marty Kiser, treasurer. In addition, Craig
Marshall was elected to the board of directors. The following board members
were named to the BBBs executive committee: Bob Gordon, Larry
Coleman, Faye Cook, Larry Lewis and Joe McDonald.
Don MacDougall joined Thompson & Co. as a
copywriter. MacDougall previously worked as a copywriter for Campbell-Ewald. He earned a bachelors degree from Framingham State
College and a certificate of copywriting from The Creative Circus in Atlanta.
Patricia Suite joined Ellers,
Oakley, Chester & Rike Inc. as a designer. Suite
previously worked for EOCR parent company SSR, serving as plumbing and fire
protection designer. She attended the Nashville Technological Institute for
construction management and civil engineering and is a graduate of Middle
Tennessee State University.
Albert Cantu, president of Terminix
International, received the 2003-2004 Economics Educator of the Year award from
the economics department of the University of Memphis Fogelman College of
Business and Economics. Cantu, a member of the departments advisory board, earned
bachelors and masters degrees from the U of M.
Bob Word was promoted to executive vice president,
real estate and construction lending for Enterprise National Bank. Word is a graduate
of the Commercial Lending School at Vanderbilt University.
Carye Herbert was named
vice president and security officer for Enterprise National Bank. Herbert, a
certified fraud examiner, received a bachelors degree from the Georgia Institute
of Technology. She previously served as area security officer for Regions Bank.
Memphis Motorsports Park announced
the following new hires: Don Rovak, director
of ticket sales and operations; and Josh Calbaugh
and Shay McClain, corporate account executives in ticket sales.
Derek Strong joined Ellers,
Oakley, Chester & Rike Inc. as a mechanical
engineer. Strong earned a bachelors degree from Mississippi State University.
Leonard L. McKinnon was named executive vice
president and senior commercial lender at Enterprise National Bank. McKinnon
formerly served as director of corporate and investment banking with SunTrust
Bank. He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Tennessee and a
masters degree from Emory University.
Debra LeJeune joined M&F
Bank as branch president of the loan production office. LeJeune,
a graduate of the Mid-South School of Banking, has more than 17 years of
banking experience.
Andy McArtor was named
director of standards and training at iviation. McArtor, who earned a bachelors degree from the U.S. Air
Force Academy, has more than 15 years of worldwide aviation experience. He was
a distinguished graduate of the USAF Pilot Instructor School, as well as the USAF
Academic Instructor School.
Charles McKelroy was
appointed vice president and branch sales manager for the Crescent Center location
of Enterprise National Bank. McKelroy is a graduate
of the University of Mississippi.
