Sells Tract for $1.9 Million
6161 Shelby Oaks LLC has purchased 7.52 acres at 6161 Shelby
Oaks Drive near Interstate 40 from Belz-Wilson Properties for $1.9 million,
according to The Daily News Public Records Database, www.memphisdailynews.com.
Foot Locker, Hooters
to Join Peabody Place
Two national brands are preparing to open locations at Downtowns Peabody Place
Entertainment and Retail Center. A 2,300-square-foot Foot Locker store is
slated to open in February. A 6,500-square-foot Hooters restaurant is scheduled
to open in the spring.
Founder Sells Legal
Publishing Company
Dan Oswald, president and associate publisher of
Nashville-based M. Lee Smith Publishers LLC, which publishes employment law
newsletters, has purchased the company from founder M. Lee Smith. Financial
terms were not disclosed. M. Lee Smith Publishers is the only company in
America that produces a state-specific employment law newsletter for all 50
states.
Federated to Rebrand
Stores to Macys
The names of all Federated Department Stores Inc.s regional
stores, which includes Goldsmiths-Macys, will change
to Macys effective March 6, the company announced. Exterior signage will begin
to change to the Macys nameplate in coming weeks. The company began rebranding all of its regional department store chains to
include the Macys name in August 2003.

Sees
December
Traffic Increase
Northwest Airlines saw a traffic increase of 7.7 percent and a capacity
increase of 7.6 percent in December compared with
December 2003. For the full year 2004, Northwest's
mainline passenger revenue per available seat mile improved by about 7 percent
over 2003.
