Nonviolence Conference Friday and Saturday
Rhodes College and Christian Brothers University host the
first Gandhi Nonviolence Conference Friday and Saturday. The event is titled
Teaching to Practice Gandhian Nonviolence:
Perspectives from Academics and Activists. The Rev. James Lawson Jr.,
architect in the struggle for equal rights during the 1950s and 1960s and a Gandhian nonviolence practitioner, is the keynote speaker.
