The Memphis City Council meets at 3:30 p

The Memphis City Council meets at 3:30 p.m. today at City Hall, 125 N. Main St., first floor. Call 576-6786.

 

The Public Relations Society of America meets at 11:45 a.m. Wednesday in the Shelby ballroom at Holiday Inn-University of Memphis, 3700 Central Ave. Call 409-0619.

Friends for our Riverfront hosts a public meeting at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday at the Central Library, 3030 Poplar Ave. The meeting is designed to raise awareness of a Riverfront Development Corp. plan to revitalize the Memphis Promenade and to discuss concerns about and alternatives to the proposed Promenade plan. Memphis BioWorks and the Memphis Biotech Foundation present the Musculoskeletal New Ventures Conference Wednesday and Thursday at the FedEx Institute of Technology at the University of Memphis, 365 Innovation Drive. Jerry West, president of basketball operations for the Memphis Grizzlies, is the keynote speaker. Cost to attend the conference is $295 for nonprofit attendees; $425 for business attendees.
