The Greater Memphis Arts Council hosts an opening reception
for artist Wayne Wilcox from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Friday at the GMAC offices, 8 S.

The South Main Arts District hosts the monthly Art Trolley
Tour from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday. Attendees can take free trolley rides
between the galleries and stores along South Main. Photography by Ken Walker will
be on view at Memphis Heritage Inc., 509 S. Main St. Work by artists Leatha
Frost and Paula Lonneman will be on display at Durden Gallery, 408 S. Front St.

The Memphis Redbirds host author Alan Schwarz Saturday at
the Backstop Baseball Emporium at AutoZone Park, 200 Union Ave. Schwarz will

The 10th Annual Big Scoop Ice Cream Festival runs from 11
a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at Agricenter International, 7777 Walnut Grove Road.
Proceeds benefit the Ronald McDonald House. The Commission on Missing and
Exploited Children will provide free child photo identification cards. Admission

The National Naval Officers Association annual conference
starts Monday and runs through Aug. 6 at Naval Support Activity Mid-South in
