St. Francis Hospital presents Advancing Excellence in End of Life Care: Next Steps from 10:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Friday at Church Health Centers Hope and Healing Facility, 1115 Union Ave. Tennessee health commissioner Dr. Kenneth Robinson is the speaker. A benefit for the Midtown Food Co-op starts at 8 p.m. Friday at the Buckman Performing and Fine Arts Center at St. Marys Episcopal School, 60 Perkins Extended. Classical guitarist Mark Allen, storyteller Judy Card and the Memphis Dance Group are among the performers for the event. Admission is $25; VIP admission is $50. The Junior League of Memphis is providing Lichterman Nature Center with $10,000 to fund its Naturalist Notebook. Lichterman staff created the notebook that features nature-related activities and educational information and provides space for young visitors to record their experiences at the nature center.
