The Memphis City Council meets at 3:30 p.m. today at City

panel discussion on how to fund the school system in future years from 6 p.m.
to 7:30 p.m. today at Union Planters Bank, 6200 Poplar Ave. Political and
business leaders from across Shelby County will participate. Refreshments will

Mpact Memphis presents a new member
welcome program from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at the Mpact offices, 516 Tennessee
St. The program offers a crash course on what the organization is about.
