Purchased for $20
Million
G&I IV Wolf River
has purchased property on North Humphreys Boulevard from WR Apartments for $20
million, according to The Daily News Public Records Database,
www.memphisdailynews.com. The purchase was financed for $14 million through
Prudential Insurance Co. of America.
Four Local Builders
to Participate in Vesta
The Memphis Area Home Builders Association has announced
that four builders will participate in this years Vesta Home Show, set for
Oct. 2-17 in Germantowns Devonshire Gardens neighborhood. The builders are
David Streeter Construction LLC, Nesta Custom Homes Inc., McWaters Construction
Co. and Fischer Construction Co. LLC.
CCDC Subcommittee
to Discuss Main Street
The Center City Development Corp.s Main Street subcommittee
will discuss a development proposal for 94 S. Main St. at a special meeting set
for 11 a.m. today at 114 N. Main St. Other Main Street projects, including the
Perez Building development, also will be discussed.
UHI Partnership Completes
Phase in Revitalization Project
United Housing Inc., which has completed 40 new homes in the
revitalized College Park community, formerly LeMoyne Gardens, now is preparing
to offer homebuyer education counseling to prospective buyers. The courses are
part of a UHI partnership with the city and Hyman Builders Supply Inc., which
built the homes.
Labor Department Reports
Rise in Job Openings, Hires
The U.S. Department of Labor reported Tuesday that job
openings rose 5.7 percent in March to 3.072 million. The hire rate, or number
of hires in the month divided by employment, rose to 3.5 percent in March from
3.2 percent in February.
