The University of Memphis hosts a Regional Aeronautics
Student Conference today and Tuesday at the Holiday Inn-University of Memphis
and the FedEx Institute of Technology. Jim Phillips, former FIT executive, and
John Swihart, retired vice president of Boeing Co., are guest speakers at the

The Society of Entrepreneurs hosts a lunch and discussion
with Dean and Kristi Jernigan at noon Tuesday at AutoZone Park. The Jernigans
will discuss the Redbirds and the transformation of Downtown. Cost is $20. Call
Memphis City Beautiful needs volunteer teams for the Great
American Cleanup, which runs through May 31. Teams will organize and complete a
project to clean up Memphis and have a chance to win prizes. May 29 is the last

The J. Reuben Clark Law Society hosts a fund-raising event
starting Friday. University of Memphis law school students and faculty are
encouraged to fast for two meals and donate the money they save to the society,
which will donate the proceeds to The Food Bank.
The University of Memphis hosts basic and advanced aerospace
workshops covering aviation and space technology during the month of June. The
workshops are open to Kindergarten through 12-grade teachers and administrators
