Womens Council of Realtors hosts a fashion show and silent auction at 6 p

The Womens Council of Realtors hosts a fashion show and silent auction at 6 p.m. today at the Cadre Building, 149 Monroe Ave. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m.; dinner at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $50 each or $375 per table of eight. Call Nedra Redditt at 301-9051 or Cindy Swift at 338-4979.

 

The Fogelman Downtown YMCA and Medical Center YMCA sponsor the second annual Walk the Doggie Mile from 9 a.m. to 10 a.m. Saturday at Tom Lee Park. Registration runs from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. Proceeds benefit the YMCA Fee Assistance Program. Cost is $10, and all leashed dogs walk free.

 

Information Radio Network hosts a conference titled Direction in an Age of Confusion from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday at Memphis Marriott, 2625 Thousand Oaks Blvd. Speakers are Dr. Larry Bates, economist and author, Chuck Bates, news director for Information Radio Network, Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, founder and president of the Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, and Larry Pratt, executive director of Gun Owners of America. Cost is $15, or $25 per family. Volunteers from Hands On Memphis and other organizations will clean up Zion Christian Cemetery, located on South Parkway at Pillow Street, from 9 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Saturday. The Dutch Treat Luncheon starts at 12:30 p.m. Saturday at Piccadilly Cafeteria, 5272 Mt. Moriah View Road. Speaker is Beth H. Harwell, state representative and chairman of the Tennessee Republican Party.
