Cindi Gresham was promoted to senior vice president with the Boyle Insurance Agency

Cindi Gresham was promoted to senior vice president with Boyle Insurance Agency. She joined Boyle in 1987 as a customer service representative. Prior to the promotion, she was vice president and operations manager.

  Saul Belz, a member of the law firm Glankler Brown, was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. Belz concentrates his practice in the areas of business litigation, commercial disputes, complex litigation, appeals and employment, and employment law. He earned a law degree from Vanderbilt University.

 

J. Brook Lathram, a member of the law firm Burch, Porter & Johnson, was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. He concentrates his practice in the areas of antitrust and trade regulation, commercial litigation, health care, insurance defense, trade secrets and unfair competition, white-collar crime and internal investigations, and products liability law. He earned a law degree from Columbia University.

 

Dorothy Pounders, managing partner of the law firm Pounders Coleman, was named a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers. She concentrates her practice in the areas of family law, litigation, arbitration and mediation. She became the first woman president of the Memphis Bar Association with her election in 1999. She earned a law degree from the University of Memphis.

 

The law firm of Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell added three new associates to its Jackson, Miss., office:

Jennifer S. Graham concentrates her practice in the areas of commercial and tort litigation. She is licensed to practice in all courts in Mississippi, including the Mississippi Supreme Court, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit, and the U.S. District Courts for the Northern and Southern Districts of Mississippi. Graham earned bachelors and law degrees from the University of Mississippi.

C. Stephen Stack Jr. concentrates his practice in litigation, primarily in the area of mass tort defense. Prior to joining Baker Donelson, he practiced with a private firm in Jackson, Miss., for five years. He is licensed to practice in all state and federal courts in Mississippi. He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Mississippi and a law degree from the Mississippi College School of Law.

Frederick N. Salvo III concentrates his practice in commercial and tort litigation. Salvo is licensed to practice in Mississippi. He earned a bachelors degree from the University of Notre Dame and a law degree from the University of Mississippi.

 

John Skelton of Memphis, managing partner of Ernst & Young, was appointed to the board of directors of Youth Villages, a private, nonprofit organization serving emotionally troubled children. He also serves on the board of WKNO-TV and is treasurer of United Way of the Mid-South. He earned a bachelors degree from Louisiana State University. He was promoted to partner of Ernst & Young in 1988.

 

Betsy Walkup of Nashville, Tenn., was appointed to the board of directors of Youth Villages, a private, nonprofit organization serving emotionally troubled children. She is a charter member of the Youth Villages Middle Tennessee Advisory Council. She co-founded Parents for Education, an advocacy organization.

 

Deborah Robinson was appointed activities director for Gallaway Healthcare Center in Gallaway, Tenn. Prior to joining Gallaway, she was activities director at the Rivers Bend Retirement Community in Kuttawa, Ky.

 

Kraig Alan Williams was appointed director of bands and associate professor of conducting at the University of Memphis. Prior to joining U of M, he was assistant instructor in the instrumental music program at the University of Texas. He earned a bachelors degree from California State University-San Bernardino, and a masters degree from California State University-Northridge. He will assume his new duties in June. He succeeds U of Ms current director of bands, Dr. Sidney McKay, who will retire at the end of the academic year.

 

Timothy Shiu was appointed assistant professor of violin and a member of the Ceruti String Quartet at the University of Memphis. Prior to joining U of M, he was a faculty member at the University of Iowa School of Music. He earned a bachelors degree from Yale University and a masters degree from the Cleveland Institute of Music.
