Feb. 18

The Memphis Bar Association and Security Title Co. Inc. present Real Property Institute, a six-part series, from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Feb. 25 at the Racquet Club, 5111 Sanderlin Ave. The cost is $85 per session for MBA members, $95 for non-members and $50 for non-attorneys. Methodist Healthcare Federal Credit Unions annual meeting will be held at the Coors Belle, 5151 E. Raines Road.

 

Feb. 19

Mpact Memphis will host Memphis Mayor Willie Herenton at an 11:30 a.m. meeting at the Crescent Club, 6075 Poplar Ave. The cost for Mpact members is $15. Non-members will be charged $20. Reservations are encouraged and can be made at 312-7760 or by e-mail at doug@mpactmemphis.org.

 

Feb. 20

The Memphis Chapter of Executive Women International, Kemmons Wilson Cos. and the University of Memphis host Firm Night, featuring Kemmons Wilson president Spence Wilson and U of M president Dr. Shirley Raines as guest speakers. Feb. 22

The University of Memphis presents the 20th Annual Juried Student Exhibition, as well as Ashley Edgerton Oates: A Summons to Memphis, through March 1 at the Art Museum in the Communication and Fine Arts Building on the U of M campus. Admission to the exhibitions is free. Museum hours are 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Saturday. Call 678-2224 for more information.

 

Feb. 26

The 11th annual Mid-South Teacher Recruitment Fair is 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at the University of Memphis in the Michael D. Rose Theatre. Lausanne Collegiate School hosts Dr. Wilkie Wilson at 7 p.m. in the Tully Dining Hall. Wilson will speak on adolescent drug and alcohol abuse. Parents of fourth through 12th grade students are encouraged to attend. There is no admission charge. Lausanne is located at 1381 W. Massey Road.

 

March 6

The Memphis Division of the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition is hosting its inaugural Wine and Cheese/Silent Art Auction awareness event at 7 p.m. at the Memphis Botanic Garden, 750 Cherry Road. March 8

The Dutch Treat Luncheon features Memphis City Council chairman Brent Taylor as its featured guest. The event begins at 11:45 a.m. with lunch at Piccadilly Cafeteria, 5272 Mount Moriah View Road.
