  The National Ornamental Metal Museum and the Greater Memphis Arts Council present Some Like It Hot: Ironwork through Feb. 16. Metal Museum director Jim Wallace explores issues of scale, material and design through the work of metalsmiths known for their architectural scale ironwork.

The Memphis Bar Association and Security Title Co. Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis will host a free community luncheon from noon to 1 p.m. in its seminar rooms. Dr. Robert J. Optican, a radiologist with Mid-South Imaging and Therapeutics and a specialist in cardiac imaging, will talk about coronary calcium scoring, or HeartScore, a noninvasive CT scan of the heart that measures the amount of calcium in the coronary arteries. Feb. 16

The University of Memphis presents the 20th Annual Juried Student Exhibition, as well as Ashley Edgerton Oates: A Summons to Memphis, through March 1 at the Art Museum in the Communication and Fine Arts Building on the U of M campus.
