Thomas F. Barnett and Emily Turner Landry joined
the Memphis office of Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell as associates.
Barnett concentrates his practice in the area of litigation. He earned a
bachelors degree from Ohio State University and a law degree from Vanderbilt
University. Barnett served in the U.S. Navy for four years and participated in
Operation Desert Storm. Landry concentrates her practice in the areas of tort
litigation and labor and employment law. She earned a bachelors degree from
Texas A&M and a law degree from the University of Texas.
Dr. Ashley Lewis Park, a staff physician at Campbell
Clinic, achieved board certification status in the subspecialty of pain
medicine through the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Park joined Campbell Clinic in July 1998 with specialization in physical
medicine and rehabilitation. He earned a doctor of medicine degree from St.
Brandy Rogers was promoted at Hands on Memphis from
program director to director of development. Hands on Memphis was founded in
William M. Locante, a Memphis dentist, was given fellow
membership in the American Academy of Implant Dentistry. He is also a member of
the Tennessee Dental Association and a diplomat of the American Board of Oral
Sam Phillips, Debra A. Wiles and Milton L. Lovell joined
the law offices of Burch, Porter & Johnson as associates. Phillips joined
the firms litigation group. He earned a bachelors degree from the University
of Tennessee and a law degree from the University of Memphis. He served in the
U.S. Navy for 10 years. Wiles joined the firms business law group. She earned
bachelors and law degrees from the University of Memphis. Lovell also joined
the firms business law group. He concentrates his practice in business
transactions and taxation. He earned bachelors and law degrees from the
University of Mississippi. He also earned a master of law degree in taxation
from New York University.
James P. Demere and James Rufus Garts III joined
Harris, Shelton, Dunlap, Cobb & Ryder as associates in the firms Memphis
office. Demere concentrates his practice in the areas of business bankruptcy,
commercial litigation and debtor/creditor rights. He earned a masters degree
from Vanderbilt University and a law degree from the University of Memphis.
Garts concentrates his practice in the areas of civil and criminal litigation,
professional and medical malpractice. He earned a law degree from the
Cumberland School of Law at Samford University.
Angela Bell was appointed office administrator for
Interactive Solutions Inc. She earned a bachelors degree from the University
Dr. James Penrod, vice president of information
systems and chief information officer at the University of Memphis, was
appointed by the EDUCAUSE Center for Applied Research as a senior research
fellow. He earned a bachelors degree from Harding University, a masters
degree from Tulane University and a doctorate from Pepperdine University.
Dan H. Murrell, director of development and community
relations at Trezevant Manor, was awarded the national Certification Program
for Retirement Housing Professionals designation. He has worked at Trezevant
Manor for five years.
Dr. Freddy Wilfred Lennox Chang joined the Southern
College of Optometry faculty as a professor. Chang teaches human physiology and
serves on the staff of the Eye Center. He was chief of the optometry service
for the Veterans Administration San Diego Healthcare System. He earned an
optometry degree from the University of Waterloo and a doctorate from Indiana
