Baker, Donelson, Bearman & Caldwell hosts a labor and
employment law seminar at the Grove Park Inn in Asheville, N.C., from 8 a.m. to
4 p.m. today. The seminar covers topics such as union avoidance strategies and
policies; recognizing and preventing harassment; post-Sept. 11 employment law;
and strategies for ensuring a drug-free workplace. Speakers include Todd L.
Fulks, Jason M. Ensley and Jennifer Keller. Baker Donelson has more than 240
attorneys and senior public policy advisers.
The Memphis Chapter of the Association of Legal
Administrators board of directors monthly meeting is 5:15 p.m. Sept. 26 at the
Davis Kidd Bookstore, 387 Perkins Extended Road.
The Masters of the Law luncheon series continues at 12:15
p.m. Tuesday in the Memphis Bar Association conference room, One Commerce
Square, Suite 1050. The speaker is Henry Klein of Apperson Crump and Maxwell.
The series features well-known trial lawyers sharing their experiences. This
seminar offers one hour of general continuing legal education credit.
Pre-registration is required. Course cost is $30 for MBA members and $40 for

Zoccola of the U.S. Attorneys Office and Deborah Stevenson of the Chapter 13
Trustees Office. The course offers three hours of general continuing legal
education credit. Course cost is $85 for Memphis Bar Association members, $95
for non-members and $30 for non-attorneys or those who do not need CLE credit.

Drafting Corporate Agreements: Converting the Deal into an
Effective Contract is 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Oct. 3 in the Memphis Bar Association conference
room, One Commerce Square, Suite 1050. This is a video replay of a satellite
program offered by Practising Law Institute. In the six-hour video, viewers
will learn how to convert a "deal" into a complete, clearly written
agreement. The course offers 5.5 hours of general and dual continuing legal
