The Memphis Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants will have a

Les Passees will have its 16th annual Stock Exchange Sept. 13 through Oct. 31 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily, until 7 p.m. Thursdays and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sundays (closed Mondays) at 5050 Park Ave. in the Eastgate Shopping Center. The event is a public consignment shop and the proceeds go to Les Passees Center for Children and Families. Preview party is 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. Sept. 12. Buckeye Technologies Inc.'s lenders extended its receivables-based $30 million credit facility to Dec. 4, 2003, and decreased the interest rate. Buckeye officials said Wachovia Bank lowered the interest rate to the London interbank rate, or LIBOR, plus 0.75 percent. The proceeds of the facility will continue to be used for general purposes. Extending this loan will help ensure we maintain liquidity with a comfortable margin of safety, said chairman Robert Cannon. According to the company's most recent quarterly report, the facility was set to expire Dec. 5 and previously had an interest rate of LIBOR plus 0.95 percent. As of March 31, the company had $29.9 million outstanding on the facility.

 

The Memphis Chapter of the Institute of Management Accountants will have a technical lunch meeting at 11:45 a.m. Sept. 19, at the Fogelman Center Holiday Inn. Guest speaker is Allison Tyson, Youth Villages performance improvement specialist. The cost is $20 for members and guests.
