The annual Collierville Chamber Membership Dinner meeting is at 6 p Union Planters Corp. will make a presentation at the Salomon Smith Barney Financial Services Conference at 9:45 a.m. Tuesday. Speaking on behalf of Union Planters will be Jackson W. Moore, chairman, president and chief executive officer. The live presentation can be accessed via the ``Investor Information-Presentations'' link of the companys Web site, www.unionplanters.com. The Memphis Area Technology Council and the Society for Information Management will host "The Greater Memphis Technology Leadership Forum" from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Wednesday at the FedEx World Tech Center in Collierville. Keynote speaker is Linda Pittenger, founder and chief executive officer of people3 Inc, talking about "Human Capital: Doing More With Less." Diane Berry, people3 vice president of research, will present "I.T. Compensation Trends and Strategies." Cost for the seminar is $55 for members, $75 for nonmembers, and $55 for students. For information, call 543-3571. Consumer Credit Counseling Service is offering free workshops on how to develop and maintain a personal budget and how to use credit cards wisely. "Build Your Own Budget" is from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 4 at 2430 Poplar Ave. "Using Credit and Credit Cards" will be from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. Feb. 18. Seating is limited. A social and networking time is slated from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a seated dinner afterward. The 2002 officers will be presented. James B. Mitchell Jr., superintendent of Shelby County Schools is guest speaker. Outgoing Chamber Chairman of the board, Harry Smith, Schilling Enterprises chief executive and chairman, will pass the gavel to incoming chairman, Bill Ray, BellSouth assistant vice president. For reservations, call the Collierville Chamber, 853-1949. OReilly Auto Parts opened a new location at 4550 Elvis Presley Blvd. The company will have its grand opening celebration at 10 a.m. Jan. 30. Grand opening festivities begin Jan. 27 and run through Feb. 9. Customers may register for prizes including a Sony PlayStation and NASCAR race game. Prize drawing is Feb. 10. OReilly Automotive Inc. began in 1957 and employs about 11,000 employees, operating more than 700 stores.
