Verizon Wireless will opened a new retail store in Bartlett Nov

Verizon Wireless opened a new retail store in Bartlett Nov. 9. The 3,000-square-foot store is at 8350 U.S. Highway 64, Suite 101. As part of the storewide celebration, Verizon donated $500 to Victims To Victory in support of the annual Community Candlelight Memorial Service from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. Dec. 17 at Abundant Grace Fellowship, 843 Raines Road. Verizon supports domestic violence awareness initiatives across the nation.

 

Lee Hecht Harrison, an outplacement and career development provider, opened an office in Memphis on the 28th floor of 5100 Poplar Ave., to serve companies in Memphis and the surrounding areas. The firm also has an office in Nashville, Tenn., which it established in 1995. Lee Hecht Harrison, opened in 1974, specializes in outplacement, leadership development and executive coaching. It is a division of employment service company Adecco S.A., with more than 5,000 offices in 58 countries.

 

NewsChannel 3 released Waterfowl in the Mid-South Volume 1, the first in a series of videotapes of waterfowl hunts from the stations Mid-South Outdoors program. In addition to duck hunting, the tape features calling tips from duck calling champion Jim Ronquest, suggestions on how to make a hunt more productive and safety information from certified hunting safety instructor Craig Chapman. The video costs $9.95 and is available at Tommy Bronsons Sporting Goods and Travis Boating Center in Memphis and Macks Prairie Wings in Stuttgart, Ark., Mid-South Outdoors airs at 6:30 p.m. Saturdays.

 

The Memphis Area High Technology Council is presenting Crisis Communication from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. Tuesday at Crew Training International, 9198 Crestwyn Hills Drive. The seminar will provide the basics on how to prepare for and react to a physical, political or legal crisis from the perspective of those speaking to the media.
