MEMPHIS BAR ASSOCIATION ANNOUNCES FINAL LIST OF NOMINEES
Bar sets final nominees list
The Memphis Bar Association announced the final list of
nominees for 2002 officers and board of directors. The deadline for additional nominations expired Thursday.
John J. Heflin III is the sole candidate for treasurer. The
nominees for secretary are David E. Caywood and Susan M. Clark.
Candidates for the eight open positions on the board of
directors are Danese Blankenship, David Blaylock, Elizabeth Collins, Sara
Flowers-Dent, Charles Harrell, Linda Holmes, Joedae Jenkins, Monika Johnson,
Kathryn King, George T. Buck Lewis, Minton Mayer, Thomas Parker, Archie
Sanders, Teresa Sigmon, Richard Spore and Daniel Taylor.
In addition, three section representatives will be elected
to the board. Nominees for those positions are Eugene Gaerig, Allen Malone,
Denise McCrary, Paul Prather, Stephen Ragland and Preston Wilson.
Ballots will be mailed to MBA voting members by Friday and
must be returned to the accounting firm of Ashby & Associates PLLC by Nov.
30.
Winners will be announced at the MBAs annual meeting from
11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Dec. 6 at AutoZone Park.
