Allied Business Brokers, 555 Perkins Road Extended, Suite 418, was sold to Robert Rasch, who has owned several other businesses in the area and is current co-owner of Kelly Rasch Enterprises. Rasch said he plans to expand the business by doing more consulting and recruiting more agents. The new name for the company is Allied Business Group LLC. Allied founder, Jack Gibson, will remain as principal broker. Allied has been active since 1976 assisting small business in the sale and valuation of their companies.
All-American Moving Group LLC of Memphis, an agent of the nationwide household goods carrier Mayflower Transit, was honored recently by the van line for exceptional professional performance. All-American received several honors during 2000, including the Hauling Achievement Award, the Circle of Excellence Award and the admission into the Million Dollar Club.
The American Business Women Association and the Entrepreneur Institute host "Games People Play," a presentation by Dr. Patricia Millikin on recognizing mind strategies, from 9 a.m. to noon July 21 at the Memphis Brooks Museum of Art. USF Holland Inc., a regional carrier unit of USFreightways Corp., announced ISO 9002 registration was awarded to three freight terminals in Tennessee Chattanooga, Memphis and Nashville. The certificates are the result of recent audits that inspected quality system processes at these facilities. Location audits conducted by European Quality Assurance Ltd. began Feb. 26. The first certificate was awarded to the company April 19. ``Once again our people have risen to the challenge and proven they are truly process-oriented and customer-focused,'' said Steve Blubaugh, the company's director of process improvement. ``We have six more locations being audited this month. If these audits go well, USF Holland could be in a position to obtain company-wide ISO 9002 registration by the end of July." USF Holland serves the Southeast.
