Calendar of events: June 5 11 Calendar of events: Sept. 18-Sept. 24 Sept. 18-19 The American Red Cross Blood Services and the University of Tennessee Health Service Department will host a blood drive from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. through Tuesday at the General Education Building, 8 S. Dunlap St. Sept. 20 Center City Development Corp. will meet at 8:30 a.m. in the conference room at the Crump Building, 114 N. Main St. The Mid-South Coliseum board meeting is 3:30 p.m. in the Coliseum board room. Sept. 21 The Central Board of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater Memphis will meet at noon at Paulettes in the Griffin Room. The Restoration Advisory Board will meet in the "J" Street Cafe, 2163 Airways Blvd., at the Memphis Depot Business Park from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The presentation is the old paint shop and maintenance area project. Sept. 22 The American Red Cross Blood Services and Southwest Tennessee Community College, is 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. at STCC Macon Cove Campus, 5396 Mendenhall Road. Sept. 23 The American Red Cross Blood Services and Sears in the Raleigh Springs Mall will host a blood drive from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sears parking area, 3344 Austin Peay Highway. Upcoming events: Sept. 25 Consumer Credit Counseling Service hosts a free seminar on establishing and rebuilding good credit, credit reports and cutting the cost of credit from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at 2158 Union Ave., Suite 400. Sept. 26 The Memphis Bar Association presents the annual fall "Estate Planning Practice Update," sponsored by the American Law Institute-American Bar Association at 11 a.m. at the MBA Conference Center, One Commerce Square. Sept. 28-30 Friends of the Library will host a book sale at the Cossitt Branch Library from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Proceeds go the Friends of the Librarys $1 million commitment to the new Central Library Project. Sept. 30 The Memphis Pink Palace Museum needs volunteers for its upcoming exhibit, "Africa: One Continent, Many Worlds," scheduled Sept. 30 to Jan.7. Volunteers must be able to work a 3 to 4 hour shift on Tuesdays from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. or Saturdays from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Training sessions are scheduled from 9 a.m. to 12 p.m. Sept. 11-14, and from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. Sept. 18-21.
